The Oakleigh Skyline Hoyts Drive-In opened on 10th March 1955 with James Stewart in “The Glenn Miller Story”. It was closed in 1990, and was sold for over 5 million Dollars. After a few visits by a circus, the site was cleared, and is now a retirement village(name unknown?) and a housing estate.

Address is 658 Old Dandenong Last Hoyts Drive-in in the World.
791 cars.
4th drive-in theatre built in Victoria.
Was located in Oakleigh south(that section is now called Heatherton). The site is now a(quarry?). The fences, gates, entrance road(and ticket booth?) are still there.
Was considerd a premium location by Hoyts Theatres and screened many first release features along with city releases.
Opened with “The Glenn Miller story”.
There is still some of the rear entrance road on the Clarinda Road side of the site and a light pole too, and some cyclone fencing and barbed wire on the Bourke Road side and some cypress trees too.
