The Kununurra Picture Gardens opened in 1963?. The Kununurra Picture Gardens are still operating. The Kununurra Picture Gardens was one of the four places to show the Australian(and possibly the World?) premiere of the film “Australia”(some of the scenes were filmed there), the other three places were Darwin(Northern Territory), Sydney(New South Wales), and Bowen(Queensland). Some of the films are shared with the Wyndham Picture Gardens. There is also an area for people to drive their cars into the Kununurra Picture Gardens, and watch from their cars(how many cars can fit in their unknown?)

The address for the Kununurra Picture Gardens is Lot 603/604 coolibah Drive, but the entrance appears to be on Ironwood Drive!? The World Premiere of the Film Australia at the Kununurra Picture Gardens, and Darwin, and Sydney, and Bowen(the film was shoot at all 4 places) on 18/11/2008. The website is www.kpg.org.au/ .
