Cine Morasol opened in 1964, closed for the first time in 1980. Reopened in 1982 as a concert hall with the same name, only to close again in 1984 due to neighbors complaints about the noise and rowdy crowds. In 1997, the Cine Morasol reopened once more, now as the 6 screens Cine Conde Duque Morasol, until 2016 when it closed again.
