Located in Leigh, Lancashire, today part of Greater Manchester. The Grand Cinema was opened on 28th October 1914. It had a 28ft wide proscenium. By 1931 it had been equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system. By 1939 it was part of the Mark’s Circuit Cinemas chain based in Manchester.

By 1944 it was known as the Cinema. The Cinema was closed in June 1961 with Carroll Baker in “The Miracle”.
