Located in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Originally built as a skating rink and opening in December 1909, in 1910 it became a dance hall. In 1915 a sloping floor was installed and it became the New Theatre. Films began to be screened as part of the variety programme, using rear projection. It was soon re-named Kings Theatre, which again was a short lived named, and it then became the Empire Cinema.

The Empire Cinema was closed in the early-1920’s and was later demolished. The site became a bus stand and later the towns' bus station was constructed on the site.
