The picture gardens opened on 8th September1938 with Metrotone News, a cartoon Boscoe’s Easter egg, a Pete Smith oddity(Wanted___a Master, a Our Gang comedy(Bored of education), Yellowstone Park(Fitzpatrick Travel in collar) and “After the Thin Man”.

Classified by the National Trust on 6/6/1995. State Heritage register 0154, 15/8/2003.

I think the picture gardens area is behind the Lesser Hall(left hand side of the town hall)?
