Regal Winrock now has VIP in ScreenX & RPX
Albuquerque/Rio Rancho residents, it’s official! Starting Monday, October 14th, Regal Winrock ScreenX, IMAX & RPX will begin renovating their auditoriums by installing recliner seats. They will start with auditoriums 5-8. Once those are completed and reopened, they will proceed to update the remaining auditoriums with recliners as well. The Premium Large Format (PLF) Screens—IMAX (Auditorium 14), RPX (Auditorium 16), and ScreenX (Auditorium 9)—will be the last to undergo renovations since they are the PLF theaters. While the IMAX will receive new Premium Seats that do not recline, the screen itself will be upgraded to include an IMAX Laser Projector, making it the first IMAX theater in Albuquerque to offer IMAX Laser.
Additionally, while construction is ongoing on the PLF screens, Auditorium 1 will also be closed to be converted into New Mexico’s first 4DX theater (after almost five years of announcing it).
I also hope that AMC considers building another theater in Albuquerque with a Dolby Cinema or perhaps converting one of their auditoriums at AMC CLASSIC Albuquerque 12 into a Dolby Cinema.
They are gonna start construction on November 18th. They delayed the plans for a month because they were waiting for the state approval
