Located on Parliament Road, off Linthorpe Road. The Regent Cinema was opened on 24th January 1938 with Anna Neagle in “Victoria the Great”. It was leased by George Kitching who was also the manager, but it was operated by Thompson’s Enterprises. It was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system.
The Regent Cinema was closed in February 1961.
