Roxy Theatre 26 Bay Road, Sandringham, VIC - TALKIES ARRIVE 1929

Located in the outer suburb of Melbourne in the district of Sandringham. The Sandringham Theatre was built by a syndicate of local shareholders and was officially opened on 7th February 1926. With ground floor seating for 722 and a balcony which seated 478. ‘Talkies’ were introduced in 1929 –
