Located in the inner city district of South Melbourne. Originally built and opened by Hoyts Theatre and named Hoyts Empire Theatre. By 1945 it had been taken over by independent operators Alex Garrick & A.L. Anderson. By 1959 A.L. Anderson was the operator. It was briefly re-named Regal Theatre before closing.
