Regal Theatre 286 Coventry Street, Melbourne, VIC - Previously known as the Empire and Lyceum theatres.

Located in the inner city district of South Melbourne. Originally known as the Lyceum. Later it was taken over by Hoyts Theatre and Re-named Hoyts Empire Theatre. By 1945 it was operated by independent Exhibitors, Alex Garrick & A.L. Anderson. By 1959 A.L. Anderson was the sole operator. It was briefly re-named Regal Theatre before closing - Notes by Ken Roe.
