The Denmark Hall was built sometime before 1900? Movie screenings started in the early-1930’s. When it was used as a picture theatre, it was called the Empire Theatre. Movie screenings finished in about 1942, and the Demmark Hall became a dormitory for the students at the Agricultural College. The Denmark Hall was demolished(date unknown?), and the present Civic Centre built on the site. Unknown if movies have ever been shown in the Civic Ccntre?
