The first movies in Toodyay were screened in an outdoor cinema behind the Toodyay Garage(opened in 1926) finishing in the 1930’s. In recent years the Toodyay Garage was still there, operating as a service station. The Toodyay Garage has it’s own Wikipedia page. By 2025 it was in use as an art gallery.

The service station is called Toodyay Auto Centre(and Toodyay Towing Service). Toodyay Auto Centre has closed down. The building is now Art in the gallery(an art gallery?).
