The Cairns Coral Twin Drive-In opened in 1961 was a capacity for 440 cars. A second screen was added in 1982. It closed in early-2000. Reopened as Woree Drive-In later in 2000. It was re-opened on 28th August 2010 with “Pirates of the Caribean”, and “Dirty Dancing”. The site was sold in 2011 for 3.3 million(Australian), and in 2012 or 2013 was put on the market again for 24 million(Australian). The site has been demolished, and is still being redeveloped for houses and other businesses.

Exhibitor was Far Northern Drive-ins P/L(1960 to 1971. Taken over by Birch, Carroll and Coyle from 31/12/1971 to 2000.

This puts it on the north side of the drive-in.
An October 2021 Google Street View shows the screen on the back of the property still standing. However, a small “roundabout” has been put in place where the property connects to the highway. That indicates that development may be soon arriving if it hasn’t started already.
