Located to the south of Dupont and east of Pittston to the northeast of Wilkes-Barre. The Comerford Drive-In was opened by Comerford Theaters Inc. on September 4, 1948 with June Haver in “Three Little Girls in Blue”. It was closed on September 18, 1983 with Jennifer Beals in “Flashdance” & “Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong "Still Smoking”.
A Walmart now operates on the site.

The Comerford Drive-In opened its gates on September 4, 1948 with “Three Little Girls In Blue” along with an unnamed Bugs Bunny cartoon and a sports reel. It was still open in 1980, but its closing date remains unknown at this time.
Closed on September 18, 1983 with “Flashdance” and “Cheech And Chong’s Still Smokin”.
