Demolition began in 1997 and the site was entirely cleared shortly after that.
Site is now Cannon Hill Bushland Reserve.
The Galaxy Drive-in was located next to a department store(K-Mart).
The site is now a hardware store(Bunnings), a sports store(Rebel), a motoring store(Supercheap Auto), a pharmacy(Good Price Pharmacy), a playcentre and cafe(Lollipop’s Playland and cafe), a linen store(Pillow talk), a pet store(Petbarn), a flooring store(Choices Flooring), a variety store(Overflow), a lighting store(Beacon Lighting), a self storage facility(National Storage) and a camping store(Bedouin Freedom Tents).
Possibly opened in(1969, or 1970 or 1971?). Opened before the K-Mart department store opened next door in 1972. Closed in 1995.
