The Caloundra Drive-In opened on 8th December 1971. It was closed around 1986 and it was demolished in 1996 to build housing on the site.

The site Is now Village Green retirement complex.
Was susposed to have opened on 8th December 1971, but a storm delayed the work to finish the building of the drive-in theatre, it instead opened on 10th December 1971.
