The town that grew up around No. 2 State Mill was later named Banksiadale. Opening date of the Centennial Hall unknown? Movies were screened from the early-1940’s to the early-1960’s. The town survived the fires that burnt nearby Dwellingup. The last residents left the town in the early-1970’s. The town was surmerged under the South Dandalup Dam which opened on 8th February 1974 as part of the water supply system for Perth.
