Dongara Town Hall

Located on the southwest corner of Church Street and Waldeck Street. The Miners Institute was built (and opened?) in 1881. Movies were screened from November 1908 until 1950 when the Miners Institute was gutted by fire. A new Dongara Town was built(and opened?) in 1953. Movies were screened from (1953?) Until the 1960’s when the Port Denison(Dongara) Drive-In opened. Movie screenings happened again in May and June 1987 by Roy Mudge. The town hall is still there, but no longer screens movies.
