The Theatair Drive-In was opened in 1949 and by 1955 it was operated by K. McAllister & Robert Harned. By 1959 it had been renamed Twin Drive-In.

The information above is incorrect. Theatair X is the adult entertainment (book store) located on the site of the Twin Drive in.
The address for the old drive in theater and the current book store is 4505 US-31, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. Most of the outline is still visible. Part of the drive in was taken out by Veterans Hwy.

The Twin Drive-In in Jeffersonville is a very unique twin-screen drive-in due to several reasons. At first, it had two sets of traces in a one-mile radius in two separate properties facing both the east and west sides.
The west side screen closed and was later demolished when Interstate 65 was expanded into Jeffersonville in the early 1960s, leaving the east side screen only in operation until the late-1980s or early-1990s.
