The Chacos Brothers operated the Luna Theatre in Coshocton in 1906. They decided to build a new theatre at 6th Street and Main Street called the Utahna Theatre named after an Indian maiden. The theatre opened on June 12, 1911 with “The Indian Maiden’s Lesson” and free carnations for all. The Utahna Theatre never was equipped for sound and discontinued operations in April of 1931 and the entire theatre and its contents were put up for sale.

The building still stands at 549 Main St. It is almost directly across from the Pastime Theater. It is now used as a decoration supply store.
Thanks Joe Blatz!!! Never knew exactly where this was. This was my Grandfather’s theater!
