The Sunset Drive-In was opened prior to 1955 when it was operated by Crescent Amusement Co. It was closed on October 16, 1977 with John P. Ryan in “It’s Alive” Now Prairie Farms Dairy.

An article in the 11/12/1977 edition of the Madisonville Messenger says that the drive-in closed on 10/16/1977 after showing “It’s Alive”.
