Catalina Cinemas

The Catalina Cinemas was built by Cineplex Odeon on the site of the Catalina Theatre. It opened November 23, 1988. They operated it until 1998 when it was taken over by Loews Cineplex Entertainment. In 2005 it was taken over by AMC, who closed it May 29, 2006. In 2010 it was sitting empty and had been purchased by The University of Arizona.
