Locates on Portugal’s Algarve region in Lagos. The Imperio Cine was opened in the 1930’s. Designed by architect Raul Rodrigues Lima in an Art Deco style, seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels.

It had closed by 1985. Later the ground floor orchestra levela was converted into retail use, and the balcony was converted and reopened as a two-screen cinema. The building suffered as fire in 2013, but repairs were carried out and it now operates as the Algarcines de Lagos.
