The Batesville Drive-In was opened on May 21, 1954 with Randolph Scott in “Hangman’s Knot”. It was operated by Jack Jackson and Co-Operative Theatres. It was closed in the late-1970’s Children Dental Care is next door to where the theater stood at 1239 IN-229. Most ramps though barely visible are still there.

I Can’t Find Even A Grand Opening Ad Of The Batesville Drive-In. But The Earliest Photo I Can Find Is A Showing From July 8th, 1955.
Opened on May 21, 1954 with “Hangman’s Knot”. Not sure on closing date but the last ad I can find was from June 1978, probably closed in the late 70’s.
