The Saint Mary Drive-In was opened in January 1950 and was located in Berwick, LA. on Highway 90. The St. Mary Drive-In was operated by William Lighter Jr., Beach Hurst & Miss Pass Christian. It was closed in 1963. Some of the ramps are still visible.

Walter Christianson contracted with Pat McCarthy in 1949 for McCarthy’s 31st drive-in, the St. Mary Drive-In. It launched in January of 1950. Though church services continued on the site until the 1970s, movie bookings appear to stop in 1963.
First drive-in theatre and cinema, i have heard of named after a Saint(i think?)!!
