Ozone Open Air Cinema Forsyth Street and Kerrs Corner, Whyalla, SA

Ozone Open Air Cinema opened on 20th November 1940 with Joan Bennett in “The Housekeepers Daughter” & George O'Brien in “The Marshal of Mesa City”. It was closed on 29th November 1961 with Laurence Harvey in “Three Men in a Boat” & Ronald Shiner in “See How They Run”. The Ozone Open Air Cinema has been demolished(date unknown?). Unknown what is there now(if anything?).

Address is Forsyth Street(near Kerrs Corner). 1500 seats Opening films were “The Housekeeper’s Daughter” and “Marshal of Mesa City”. The closings films were “Three men in a boat” and “See how they run”.

The screen came from the closed down Chinese Gardens Cinema in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.
