The Chief Drive-In was opened on May 12, 1950 with Henry Fonda in “Wings of the Morning”. By 1955 it was operated by C.J. Collier & B.F. Jackson. It was still open in 1982, but had closed by 1985. Now Planters Equipment Company.

Opening date was May 12th 1950, can’t find the opening film though.
I remember seeing an advertisement for the Chief Drive-In inside the Twin Cinema on the west side of Cleveland (also owned by the Collier family and now demolished). The first movie shown at the Chief was “Wings of the Morning” starring Henry Fonda and Annabella.
It appears operational in 1982, but was closed by 1985 judging by its fading traces.
