Built on the site of the Thelma Theatre. The Pix Theatre opened June 27, 1941 with William Powell in “Love Crazy”. It was closed on August 2, 1964 with Laurence Harvey in “The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grim”. After the theatre closed, it was used for a while for special events until it was renovated and became a My Dollar USA store. In 2015, the building became a variety store named Uptown Pix, in honor of the theatre.

The Pix Theatre Opened On June 27th, 1941 With “Love Crazy”. It Is Still In Operation Since 1955.
The Pix Theatre closed after 23 years of continuous operation on August 2, 1964 with “The Wonderful World gf the Brothers Grimm.” However, there were more events and even some sporadic special events at the venue after that time until its conversion to retail.
