Venue

In Lincoln, the county town of Lincolnshire, The Venue is located on the campus of Bishop Grosseteste University. Used primarily as a Drama and Performing Arts theatre by students during the daytime, it hosts public film shows at various times during the week (mainly Wednesday matinees and evenings and Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings) and monthly screenings by Lincoln Film Society on Friday evenings from September to May.

The Venue was created in 2012 following an up-grade of the Bishop Greaves Theatre and the installation of cinema projection equipment. Following that refurbishment it now also boasts modern digital projection equipment and Dolby surround sound. The Venue is also equipped with satellite receivers enabling the screening of live theatre, opera and music productions.

The Venue has fixed rake seating, which gives excellent sightlines. The screen is 7m x 2.98m.
