This theater opened in 1913 for Charles and William Meyers, under their name. It stood on W. Chicago Avenue near N. Wood Street in the West Town neighborhood and could seat about 290. By 1916, it had been renamed, as the Home Theater, one of several theaters in Chicago with this name. The theater was listed for sale in the Chicago Tribune in 1927, though is still listed as in operation in the 1928 and 1929 Film Daily Yearbooks.
From the late-1930’s to early-1950’s, a furniture store was in operation at this address. By the early-1960’s, the building housed a Singer One Stop jukebox music distributor. The building was demolished in 2012, and was replaced by apartments and retail.
