Located in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Opened as the Electric Pavilion on 10th May 1913 with 650 seats on a single level; a balcony was added later which increased the seating capacity to 800. In 1919 it was taken over by the Shapeero Circuit. In March 1928 it was taken over by Denman/Gaumont. Gaumont sound came to the Electric Pavilion on 9th December 1929.
On 22nd May 1950 it was renamed Pavilion Cinema. At some stage it came under the control of the Rank Organisation and they closed it on 2nd September 1953 for total refurbishment; the last film was “Thunder Bay”. New seating was installed and the capacity reduced to 550 to accommodate a new foyer. The projection equipment was renewed with GK21’s. It reopened as the Gaumont after three weeks on 25th September 1953 with “Genevieve”. The Gaumont was closed on 10th October 1959 with “Last Train from Gun Hill”.
It was later demolished and a Boots the Chemists store was built on the site. By early-2017 it was occupied by Superdrug.
