I visited many of these old theatres and in SE, NE. I lived at 3517 se Division St. 1951. I left for the military. We lived right directly across the St. for the Oregon Theatre. . I will be returning to Portland at the end of July 2018 for 10 days.

This old theatre was opened almost 24 hrs a day. Closed up just after 5 am for clean up. Tossed out all the bums and drunks. I visited this place so many times. 1950s.. I was one of those sent out. 7 am it would open up for another day. 15 cents. I am 81 now. This theatre allowed everyone to smoke and it could become quite visually impaired.

It was still the Round-Up Theatre in 1964 and 1970, the dates of the two photos I uploaded. It had become the Round-Up in 1947 when Ted Gamble took it over. With a Westerns only policy and Western themed interior. I have found no record of it returning to the Rex Theatre name.
