It was converted into a live music venue Teen City, where bands such as the BeeGees performed. This was a short lived venture, and in 1965 it was converted into the Red Hill Skate Arena and became one of the most popular roller skating rinks in Brisbane. It was closed in 2004 when the building was damaged in an arson attack.
