Located in the north city centre district of Chacarita. The Cine-Teatro Real was opened in 1929. It was remodeled in 1938 to the plans of architect Alberto Edmundo Bourdon.
On the 4th July 1979 it was re-named Teatro de las Provincias Argentinas and went over to live theatre use. In recent years it has been re-named Teatro Regio and operates as a playhouse theatre.
