Located in the southern Netherlands town of Bergen op Zoom, it is not known when the Cinem'actueel first opened.
Presumably it began with a single screen; latterly there were three screens. A local resident told me that two of the auditoriums were quite small, but one was quite large and had a balcony. So perhaps this was the original cinema, and the other two screens were created in adjacent space, rather than by sub-division.
The cinema closed (I believe) in spring 2016 when its operation moved to a new, purpose-built multiplex on an out of town site. In August 2017 the former cinema was up for sale at €675,000.

odd name?
Yes, David, although “actueel” is Dutch for “current”. So presumably the name in English would be something like “Cinema Now”. I should have included this in my Overview.
