Located on Main Street at the corner of 2nd Street. Built in 1917 as the Community Hall. The Luray Community Theatre was first listed in the Film Daily Yearbook’s of 1937 & 1938 as (Closed). It had opened by 1939 seating 350. The Community Theatre was still open in 1957. The building still stands in 2024 in use as a community center.

Must have been the community hall at 121 Main St. Still there, and seems to be in use for the original purpose. Originally built with lovely yellow local limestone in 1917, later addition of a brick lobby and offices (possibly a WPA project) in the ‘30s.
