The Dawn Theatre was opened on October 23, 1911 with vaudeville and short movies. It was operated by Charles Vance. It was screening movies by 1914. It swas closed in 1919 and became a Piggly Wiggly grocery store.

The Dawn Theatre opened in the existing Jack Building by Dreamland Theatre operator Charles Vance on October 23, 1911 with vaudevillian Pauline Barry as the headliner and some short films. Dusk came to the Dawn in 1919. It was removed and became a Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store in July of 1919.
