Located in the central Germany town of Gotha, to the southwest of Leipzig. The Capitol Lichtspiele was openedon 22nd December 1927 with “Der Meister von Nurnberg”. The Capitol Lichtspiele was the first cinema in Gotha to be equipped with sound when on 28th March 1930 the German film “Atlantik” starring Fritz Kortner was screened.
