The Electric Theater opened in a framewood single-storied house as a Music Hall in 1885. By 1908, the Music Hall was sold to J.S.Falconer, who reopened it as the Electric Theater. Around 1915, Mr. and Mrs. B. Lovell took over the theater introducing lots of refinement (ventilation system, dimmed lights, opera chairs, velvet drop curtain and sound equipment). They changed the name in 1920 to Lovell Theater. It was still open in 1943.
