Astra Cinema - Hednesford

Located in the Royal Air Force basic training camp, Hednesford, Staffordshire. The Astra Cinema was opened with the base in 1938/1939. Being a military cinema, it was not open to the general public.

R.A.F Hednesford was converted into a camp for Hungarian refugees in 1956. It was later demolished and the site of the camp is now part of the Cannock Chase Country Park
