This Orpheum Theatre opened prior to 1909, and was the first of three Orpheum theatres in OKC. Primarily a vaudeville house, this Orpheum Theatre did add a movie to the end of a weak program. Exterior detailing was in a Colonial Revival style. In 1913 it was renamed Main Street Theatre as a full time movie theatre.
A rooftop theatre named the Garden Airdome was added for use during hot summer months when the downstairs cinema became too hot for occupancy. One 1914 newspaper article stated that the Garden Airdome was “lovely, tastefully decorated, with aromatic potted flowers.
