The Hillcrest Theater was open before 1916, located on Merchants Avenue, near Hunters Avenue. For much of the theater’s time in operation, it was owned and managed by Hymie Schwartz. The theater was remodeled in 1939. It remained in operation at least into the 1960’s, and was torn down around 1975. A parking lot is now on the site.

The Atwood’s, Glasgo Hall and Ashland venues are not on Cinema Treasures nor can the local historian find references to them. They may have just been housed in one of the company buildings at the local textile mill.
