This theater opened around 1912 on the first floor of the Hansen Cigar Factory, 10th Street and Spring Street, owned by Arthur Bogges. In 1916, the theater was bought by Julius Hansen and underwent extensive renovations under the designs of architect James Calvin Young. It was still open by 1920.
