The roots of this operation began in 1896 at 303 Main Street where the Edisonia Phonograph and Kinetoscope Parlor opened in Buffalo. In 1896, Edisonia Hall moved across the street with the Vitascope Theatre. After another Main Street location, the Edisonia Theatre opened on Utica Street at Brayton Street likely in 1913. The final shows at the Edisonia Theatre were on the night of April 15, 1915. A fire ended the operation early on April 16, 1915. The theatre was demolished for a small automotive shop two years later.
