White Rose Theater

This theater was in operation from at least 1913-1914, it was located on S. Pulaski Road, originally known as 40th Avenue, then Crawford Avenue, near W. 14th Street in the North Lawndale neighborhood. It may have hosted church services for a time after closing as a movie theater. The building still stands today, though in poor shape. It appears that the upper half of the building’s facade which included some simple pieces of decoration, either collapsed or was removed due to being in danger of collapsing between 2009 and 2012.
