The Crystal Theatre launched at 1529 Main Street with vaudeville by John H. Ammons in December of 1905. But Elwood wanted movies. In 1909, the theatre was changed over to a photoplay house, the fourth in town. It launched as the Lyric Theatre July 24, 1909. It closed briefly during World War I but commenced again only to close in 1921.
The theatre was reopened that same year as the Classic Theatre reopening June 13, 1921. The theatre closed and was auctioned off at a sheriff’s sale in 1924. The sloping floor was removed ten years later in 1931 becoming a shoe shop. The theatre structure lasted all the way to 2013 before being demolished by the city.

Streetview is facing the wrong way, and a bit too far East. 2008 streetview shows your typical turn of the century 2-story commercial block. Very deep, with a gable roof at the rear. Looks derelict already, 3 storefronts, one might have been a bar. Only really notable feature was the white glazed brick columns along the front.
