Built as the New Masonic Temple in 1928 by construction company Mitzel Construction of Cleveland, OH. The Willoby Theatre was opened inside the building on August 11, 1928 and was operated by Scoville, Essick & Reif Theatre Co. Seating was originally provided for 1,000. It had a $25,000 Robert Morton pipe organ.
The Willoby Theatre was still open in 1950, but had closed by 1951. The Masonic Temple still use the building in 2018.

Probably went of business after the much larger Vine theater opened on the other side of downtown Willoughby. The Masonic Temple is still there in 2026, having absorbed some other local Masonic lodges.
