The Moorhead Daily News remembered the Lyceum Theatre in April 1940. Harry Liek and Mr. Perkins opened the Lyceum before 1910 and it was closed when the Moorhead Theatre opened in April 1928.
Since law in North Dakota prohibited Sunday movies and Fargo was located just across the river, the Lyceum Theatre opened at 11:30 am and showed movies to midnight with packed houses.
The building was remodeled into a Gambles Store in October 1928 and later was used for a variety of retail operations. According to old Sanborn Maps, the location today would be near the Moorhead Center parking garage.
Film Daily Year Book 1926 lists the Lyceum Theatre with 550 seats.
