Liberty Theatre

The Liberty Theatre opened on 15th December 1939 and closed on 16th February 1974. Also used for roller skating and dances in 1969. Used by the Yass Repertory Society for live performances(renaming it Comur Theatre) from 1993. The building was listed ‘For Sale’ in 2019. It was being renovated in August 2020 with a planned reopening in September 2021.

The Liberty Theatre was designed by the Sydney based architects, Guy Crick and Bruce Furse.

The Liberty Cafe is still there(possibly still being used?).

The ground floor at the front also has a fast food store(Charcoal Chicken), hairdressers(Blyssful Hair Design), and a barber shop(Liberty Salon).
